This necklace is made with incredibly fine and delicate filigree work! The pendant was hand crafted by the Hmong tribe, a small enthnic group in Laos. I found these in a little shop on my trip there, and the owner explained that these pendants are rarely made anymore because they are incredibly labor intensive to make. This piece features a beautiful deisgn like a peacock feather! And the pendant is double sided, with the peacock feather on one side, and the classic Hmong circle design on the back.
The pendant is unmarked, but tests for fine silver, better than sterling, at least 950/1000. The chain is a newer Italian box link chain marked "Italy 925". The pendant measures 1.8 cm x 2.5 cm (or 0.71 inches x 0.98 inches). The chain measures 45.7 cm (or 18 inches). Both pendant and chain weigh a total of 5.5 grams.
