Vintage Mid Century 18k Solid Gold & Pearl Cuff Links
$1,250.00
This is a stunning pair of Japanese akoya pearl cuff links in solid 18k yellow gold! These cufflinks are beautifully engraved in the Japanese style, creating a lovely crescent and leaf motif. They are set with amazing, high quality Japanese cultured pearls that have a gorgeous luster. These would make for an incredible wedding accessory!
The cuff links are marked K18 and test for solid 18k gold. The pearls are in perfect condition, and the cuff link mechanisms are in excellent condition and good working order. They measure 1.3 cm x 1.8 cm (or 0.51 x 0.71 inches). They weigh a total of 9.6 grams.
An important note - there is a saying that genuine gold will never tarnish, but that is simply not true. As with any metal, gold will tarnish with time. The reason that people believe this is that gold takes much longer than silver to tarnish; it may even take 60 or 100 years. But eventually, a patina will develop.
As this is an antique piece, I have left the gold patina intact, but if you would like, it can be easily polished away. These cuff links are tested and guaranteed to be solid gold.
