This is a tiny Japanese ojime bead in the form of a rooster! I don't know much about this bead, but I found it in an antique shop on a trip to Alaska. The bead is carved by hand in a very graceful and skillful way, and it is signed in Japanese characters on the bottom!
This bead is in excellent vintage condition; no damage to the wood or rooster's glass eyes. It measures 1.6 cm x 2.3 cm (or 0.62 inches x 0.91 inches).
