Vintage Guatemalan Artisan Made Silver Cross Charm Necklace

This is a beautiful and quite old cross necklace that I acquired on a trip to Antigua, Guatemala! The cross was clearly artisan made and has a very simple design. It features a classic cross, with engraving on the ends to create a stylized design and a small drop of silver in the center of the cross to differentiate the front from the back. This is a lovely and simple everyday piece with a lot of history behind it!

The pendant is unmarked but tests for sterling silver; the chain is marked ""925 Italy"". The necklace is overall in good vintage condition. The pendant measures 1.5 cm x 3 cm (or 0.59 inches by 1.18 inches). The necklace weighs a total of 3.96 grams.
