This is a miniature and difficult to find late Victorian period antique cross necklace. The cross is clearly a mourning piece, as it features black channel set glass gems, but it's made on a much smaller scale than many pieces of Victorian jewelry. It may be transitional between the Victorian and Edwardian periods given the diminutive scale. In any case, this is a lovely antique piece that would make the perfect layering necklace!

The cross is stamped "STERLING" and it's been paired with a newer chain that is stamped "925 Italy". The necklace is overall in very good antique condition with some light surface wear and patina.
