Rare Antique Newlyn School Arts & Crafts Enamel Necklace

This is a rare and extremely beautiful artisan made Arts & Crafts movement pendant circa 1900! This piece has been attributed to the Newlyn school, and it is very difficult to find such pieces. It features a beautiful shield shaped center with cobalt blue to soft purple enameling. The squarish bail and silver wire surround are classic examples of the Newlyn school design sense. All in all, a very lovely and rare piece of history!

The pendant is unmarked, but tests for sterling silver. Please note that the chain is not original to the piece, and it's stamped "925 Italy". This piece is in overall excellent antique condition, with no damage to the enamel. The pendant measures 2.9 cm x 4.4 cm (or 1.14 inches by 1.73 inches), and the chain is 61.6 cm (or 24.25 inches). The necklace weighs a total of 10.36 grams.
