Modernist Theodore Drendel Sterling Silver Large Wing Earrings

$135.00
This is a fantastic pair of Modernist earrings created by notable silversmith, Theodore Drendel. He was a combat artist during the Vietnam war, and when he returned from the war, he learned silversmithing and became a very well-known jewelry artisan. These earrings were clearly made by hand with a lot of care and an amazing design sense! They have a graceful wing-shape design and certainly make a statement!

The earrings are signed "Sterling Drendel", along with two other marks, the letters HD inside of an oval, and the letter C inside of a circle. There is some light surface wear to the silver; however, they are in very good vintage condition. The earrings measure 3.1 cm x 5.9 cm (or 1.22 inches x 2.32 inches), and weigh a total of 10.55 grams.
