Mid Century Modernist Artisan Signed Agate Necklace

This is a truly unique and rare artisan made modernist necklace! I have rarely seen such a well designed and well-executed modernist piece of jewelry. This one is particularly special as it features a gorgeous red agate cabochon in the center! It is a very lovely stone and the design of the necklace highlights it very well.

The pendant signed with an interlocking "C" hallmark and stamped "STERLING". Unfortunately, I haven't yet been able to identify the artist. The agate pendant measures 3.5 cm x 6.4 cm (or 1.38 inches by 2.52 inches). The chain is 59.7 cm (or 23.5 inches) in length. The necklace weighs a total of 37.43 grams.
