This is an absolutely incredible and rare genuine Victorian piece! It is in pristine condition, featuring a polished jet cabochon, accentuated with a pearl border and set with seed pearls in a gorgeous star motif. It is inscribed, "From Father. In Memory of Mother. 18th October 1883." The brooch is in excellent condition with the original hair and glass. It also has been fitted with a bail, so it could be worn as a brooch or pendant. The dimensions of the piece are 3.3 x 4 cm and it is approx. 1 cm thick. It is not otherwise marked, but tests for at least 9k solid gold.
