Antique North African 800 Silver & Copal Amulet Necklace

This is a very rare and unusual piece of North African jewelry. It is an artisan made piece with copal and silver, antique coins and a zar amulet. This piece would likely have been used in a zar ritual and based on other North African and Bedouin jewelry I've seen, I would estimate it dates to the 1910s to 1920s. This is a very unique and significant piece of jewelry with a lot of history!

There is some wear commensurate with age, but in very good antique condition. The necklace measures 1.8 cm across at the widest point (or 0.71 inches), and it is 110.5 cm long (or 43.5 inches). It weighs a total of 179.38 grams.
