Antique Meiji Period Japanese Gold Lacquer Hair Pin
$85.00
This is a lovely and graceful Meiji era (circa 1920s) Japanese hair pin that I found on a trip to Kyoto! There was a vendor there selling many of these amazing hairpins! It is beautifully detailed with tiny solid 14k gold dots and gold lacquer paint, forming a design of leaves and flowers. The material is bamboo with lacquer over it, and it is signed in gold by the artist!
This hair pin is in virtually perfect condition - there is no damage to the lacquer or paint. It measures 1.1 cm x 14.8 cm (or 0.43 inches x 5.83 inches).
